I am on holiday at the moment and away from my PC, once I get home I will look through the BIOS betas I have there, I could have sworn I saw one for the ab350 pro4 on JZ's site but it may have been in my own archive.

I will be back home on the 9th, if there is no update posted by then I will see if I have one and share it.

Yes, I've already said this 3 times in this thread.

UPDATE:

Returned both X570 and Ryzen 3600. RMA told me the ryzen was dead.
X570 fan was starting to be loud as fk also...

Now I got an X470 taichi with another new Ryzen 3600 and all fine, waiting for the 3950X...
I never had any problem with the X470 since Day 1. No CPU overclock, only XMP enabled and it went through 24 hours of different stability tests, no issues so far.

Why the f$ck did they release un-finished beta firmware and not note it. I wouldn't have upgraded to Ryzen 3. Having the same issue here.

all true from other boards on pre 1.0.0.3

AMD Motherboards : bios flash issue

i have a x470 gaming k4, i am running bios 1.90 right now and noticed that there are several newer ones to be had. i have never been able to find the setting to enable PBO and wanted to update my bios, every time i have tried to do so i get the error that secure flash check fail. i have cleared the bios and used all default settings, tried to remove all my drives, all things that i have found by googling the problem. i downloaded all the different bios from the official sight and none of them will flash for me. tried F6, tried instant flash and still nothing works. is there a problem with these bioses? my machine is running ok as of now, but thats not really the point. I hear all this great stuff about the PBO and i cant even use it. and i would really like a somewhat more up to date bios. i love this motherboard, but i am starting to second guess my purchase at this point as i have been building comps since the old athlon XP days, and have never had this hard of a time with a bios.

I think it should be fine.

In my case I tried (B450 ITX): P3.30, L3.33, L3.41, P3.40, L3.42 (in that order).

Only real difference I noticed is between P3.30 and the other 4 versions. Because the AGESA in P3.30 is older and support less RAM frequency.

- But the POST low success % issue is present in all of them. Even if I use default UEFI settings. Motherboar can't properly POST always or come back from Sleep state.

AMD Motherboards : No turn-on-after-power-connect in v3.50 for B450?

Subject: No turn-on-after-power-connect in v3.50 for B450?

Hi. I just got a new B450 Pro4. I came with BIOS v3.20, but I updated to v3.50 to fix the stuck-at-boot-screen problem I had. That went fine, but there seems to be no way to make the board turn on when I reconnect power.

In 3.20, there is an option to turn this on in "South Bridge Configuration", but this seems to be disappeared. Now both South&North bridge configuration gets replaced by a single "chipset configuration" with far fewer options. There is an option to turn back on after power loss, but that is not what I'm looking for.

I don't have a proper case, so I use a switch on my power outlet as one, and set the motherboard to turn itself on after it started receiving power. This works with 3.20 as well as my old ASRock Z87 Extreme6 and many others, but there seems to be no way to set it in 3.50. Was it removed? If so, can I request it to be added back in the future version?

The update problem is strange. Maybe a USB stick problem / VFAT32?
Tried another USB port?
But if you do not have a Matisse CPU, there is no reason to update higher as 1.90!

B]PBO:/B]
It would be helpfull to know which CPU you are using.
You must have a 2000X CPU for PBO.
Meaning, for 2600 or 2700 without "X" PBO is not available.

No PBO on X470 board:

Congratulation!

Did you make some RAM stress tests?

But where did you get a Bios 5.90 for AB350M Pro4?
And CPU_SOC now is saved?

You are not the first with that problem:

Hmm, workaround with switch on by a key, if you have a PS/2 keyboard:
Advanced\ACPI Configuration\PS/2 Keyboard wakeup by: Any Key

AMD Motherboards : polychrome Sync Not Working

Same problem occurred in my environment, but resolved it.
step is below:
1. C:\Program Files (x86)\ASRock Utility\ASRRGBLED\Bin
WriteFW.bat double click.

WriteFW.bat:
wICPFLASHADSBv2.exe /file=nu51_3.04

2. You should probably see the following message at the command prompt:
Erasing:     EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Programming: PPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP
Verifying:   VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV

If erasure starts, successful immediately.

3. If you see the following message:
Project Name = X570 Steel Legend
BIOS Version = P1.60
Reading file: nu51_3.04...0...ok.
Enter ICP mode.
Company ID: 0x000000FF, Device ID: 0x00FF00FF
--- 10 times ---
Enter ICP mode fail.

You have to restart Windows several times, as it may not be resolved...

NOTE:
Stopping the application in Task Manager is not very effective.
* Ctrl+Shift+Esc(Task Manager)
* AsrPolychromeRGB.exe kill.

My guess:
AsrPolychromeRGB.exe writes to flash every time you change RGB settings.
Depending on the update frequency,
further updates before writing may result in validation errors.
The solution is difficult due to the trade-off between writing speed and LED preview.

Environment:
X570 Steel Legend
BIOS 1.60
PolychromeRGB(v2.0.25)
Firmware v3.4
Windows 10

Yes: Tell your complete Spec and where you put which Elgato card.
That will speed up the help for your problem!

You maybe have to configure PCIe configuration first in the bios before you insert that card.

It will take Asrock months to produce a decent bios for the various boards.. Thats why I abandoned x370, they'll be the last to be updated... I really wish I now would have went went a Gigabyte x570 instead of the taichi x570. Gigabyte seems to be on the ball with the bios updates..
