I rolled back to several different BIOS versions and got nowhere. What I have noticed is that Dual channel is the issue, I don't freeze in single channel when the 2x8 kit is in slot A1+A2 but will freeze in slots A2+B2.

Wouldnt this indicate something is wrong with my board?

It even does not start after really switching off?
If that is the case, do a CMOS reset (like described in the manual), go to the bios and make your own settings again (if you have any) and restart.

I don't think so, that would be grazy.
But the restart (warm start) could be influenced by the changed settings.
That's why i asked if the problem still exists after a cold start (power off before).

And you should check the windows shutdown settings:
If fast start is activated, disable it!
That also could be the reason for the problem, even after shutdown and switch off.

AMD Motherboards : Enabling External Graphics Card

I have an A320M-HD motherboard paired with an Athlon 240GE and I'm trying to add a separate graphics card but the card is not recognised. It does not even appear in the OS in the list of PCI devices.

Whatever I set the enable internal graphics to in BIOS it always sets it back to "Forces" and I guess this may be at the root of it. Any ideas about what is going on and what I should do?

Hello, memory I have bought for x399 phantom gaming 6 says Dimm Support 2 only , I have bought 8 of these memories, does this mean they all won't work on my motherboard?

Thank you

You should always run Ryzen in UEFI mode and not old bios.

And why didn't you look to the QVL before getting new RAM?
This is like to fill up a car with diesel and afterwards looking into the manual to see it needs fuel... sorry.

But RAM in all slots will always be a bit tricky to run succesfull, even if it is in the QVL.
SS (single sided) will be easier to handle compared to DS (double sided).

You maybe have to start first with 4 sticks.

These memories? What kind of memory?

I bought them on a blitz deal, then the mobo and cpu, was impulsive,

F4-3200c16D-16GTZR DDR4-3200 8GBX2

CL 16-18-18-38 1.35 V

I won't overclock , just run it like it comes for daily tasks

thanks again

Ok, 8 x 8 SS.
They probably will not run at 3200Mhz by just selecting XMP profile and frequency, even with 4 sticks.

And even if you do not want to overclock, you have to get some knowledge regarding RAM and Ryzen Threadripper and the technics from the overclockers, if you do not want to run the RAM with 2133Mhz or lower or if only the half of the RAM will work...

Well, guess if they don't POST will have to sell them, so I have look up the QVL and get the ones that say DIMM Socket Support 8 (eight) ? to get up to 64 GB ?

say ,

CMK32GX4M4A2666C16

?

So I can run vmware with a couple of VMs too

Thanks

Looks like maybe not. Post on Tweaktown quotes from the creator of the DRAM Calculator for AMD Ryzen CPUs and he seems to think the changes to the memory controller will be a problem. Oh well, wait and see. I think I saw a Geekbench score that quoted the MSI X399 MEG CREATION as the motherboard so perhaps there's hope.

How you doing? Well, i have an pc with 3 chasis fans and i'm trying to set up the fans and i've noticed that when in Bios i execute the Fantuning function, it says minimal duty for chasis fan 2 & 3 = 0%, and also i can see above in that same tab, how it says chasis fan 2 & 3 speed : N/A...
Fans fisically works, i can say that, but my question is if these readings are normal of perhaps i have fans badly conected?
Thank you.
