Good day.
Please tell me how acceptable is the bending of the motherboard?
I set the tower on x470 Taichi and the textolite bends slightly.

Loosen the screws?
Should the board be straight?

The VRM temps reading almost 98 degrees. I have the power to balanced mode.
And I can make sure the air cooling is strong enough to handle the temp. but still in high temper. Reinstall win10 is same, so it is not OS problem.
Is it a Bios issue or something else?

Dear Koikun,

Greetings, this is ASRock TSD.

Generally, debug code b2 means that system is in starting process.

Please try to press [F9] load BIOS default and then [F10] in BIOS page to observe if it will work.

Also please try to install only one memory module to different slot by turns to verify.

Thanks!

All the best,
ASRock TSD

Dear Ninchen,

Greetings, this is ASRock TSD.

According to B450M Pro4 specification, this board does not have a temperature sensor for the VRM, so the VRM temperature which reported from third-party software will be inaccurate.

We link the B450M Pro4 specification (Hardware Monitor) as below for reference:
https://www.asrock.com/MB/AMD/B450M%20Pro4/index.asp#Specification

In regards to this case, we suggest using ASRock A-Tuning utility ver:3.0.234 to monitor your system status.

Thanks!

All the best,

AMD Motherboards : odd usb behavior x570M Pro4

To start off, I have been getting the USB power surge error in Windows 10, and turned off all Windows Explorer notices to shut it up.

It would seem that not all USB ports in the IO shield are functioning. I bought a USB tester and it shows 5v on all ports, but the two under the PS2 keyboard port won't support a mouse or keyboard (very basic USB optical Dell mouse and HP keyboard), nor will the two USB ports under the LAN jack. The front panel ports run from USB 2.0 and 3.0 headers all work fine. CPU is Ryzen 5 3600X, 32 GB 2400 memory, two sticks.

I'm wondering if I'm missing a USB driver. AMD chipset drivers version 1.11.22.454 downloaded from AMD site for the chipset are installed as well as AMD all in one drivers on the motherboard's support CD, 19.10.16. Windows 10 up to date.

If I have to I'll yank out the board and replace it under warranty, as it is not yet three weeks old. I'd like to hear what else I may be able to do from a diagnostic perspective to better understand root cause, if such can be done at all. At the least, I'd like to hear if all USB ports should be able to support a mouse and keyboard, both of which are USB 2.0 devices by their jack color. If all ports in the IO shield should support a mouse and keyboard, and there is no BIOS setting to worry about, then I may have to replace the board after all, but I'd really like to exhaust my options before I do so.

the 4.60 BIOS I was using on the board before and I have not uncovered any
issues elsewhere as yet. XMP profile loaded up fine and RAM is working at it's
rated speed of 2800 without issue.

Specs are as follows:

CPU: Ryzen 5 1600x
RAM: 8gb (2x4gb) Corsair LPX Vengeance DDR4 2800 (CMK8GX4M2A2800C16R)
Motherboard: X370 Fatal1ty Gaming K4
BIOS: 5.50

If anyone has any suggestions for issues to check for please comment and let me
know. I have set this system up exclusively to try and help you all work out
issues. I will be getting a Ryzen 5 3600 in the next few weeks to test with
too. So far, the 1600x is working exactly as it should even though the BIOS
version is not recommended for use with first gen CPUs. I updated the board to
be ready for 3600 I have ordered.

Late to the party.
Thank you for testing this.
Anything else you've observed?
I'm one of those dumbasses that didn't read the instructions and updated to I think I'm on 5.4 for the x370 Fatality Gaming K4 with a 1st gen Ryzen 1700 and 1600 on another system with the X370 Killer, and unfortunately cannot roll back.
Do you recommend just updating to the latest bios for both systems?

Okay, I tried booting up with one stick in the inner slot and it wouldn't boot up.   It will boot up with one stick in the outer slot and it reads as 16 GB on board.

Where do I go from here?
