I can understand that it must be very frustrating getting such an expensive hardware not to work, but you should use common sense too!

There is no benefit at all if you are using "crap" and "awfull" postings and ununderstandable phrases like:

Anyway, if that hardware is not working it is a clear RMA case.

actually if @bmxholmes has strike the lottery, collectors would pay a lot of money of a missing cores threadripper of recent times. Should put up a "BID". Hell AMD would pay 10 times to buy it back!!! hahahahaha

I have PBO disabled in the BIOS. My system specs with my cooler listed below.

Thanks

Hi @T1125P, the Noctua NH-U12S SE is so skinny, not worthy of the 3700x. Upgrade to big big cooler and your 3700x will show it's prowess.

I use 420x140x86 for 1700x, plus 420x140x28 for GPU, single loop them.

surely samsung B-die with stupidly high timings would run that

fun aside just take it as the bios has the option to set those speeds instead of looking for a kit that is rated at those speeds anything beyond 4200 requires lots of time to tweak

I think this just happened to me as well. BIOS 1.90

Particularly painful as I'm using x8x8 PCIe bifurcation so the GPU has issues if that gets reset to x16.

Hi there,

I've installed my brand new 2600x with the B450M Steel Legend. I was able to boot to Windows on the first boot. I've installed network and audio drivers. Rebooted a few times and then decided to update the BIOS to 2.50 as it is the latest BIOS "recommended" for Pinnacle.

The flash was successful and pressed Enter to reboot. The board never POSTed since... It is stuck in an endless boot loop. It will simply start power up and have the fans spins for around 10-15 seconds and reboot and do the same thing over and over again.

I've tried with other RAM, GPU and cleared the CMOS (unplugged and battery removed for the night) and the issue persists...

I still have my old 1600 and B350M Pro4 so I will try to swap CPUs and see what's happening. I'm at work right now so I can't do it right away so I thought I would ask here to see if it happened to somebody else.

I've an IT tech and I've flashed countless BIOS in my life and it's the very first time I see a successful flash not booting.

Thanks!

Using the UEFI advanced options interface I updated the UEFI using the internet, the process completed and said press enter to reboot the system which I did. Nothing happened. System powered up but no response of any kind, no power to keyboard or monitor but HD led is lit and system sounds like its running.

Checked the webs and read up on how to clear CMOS since that seemed the solution. Followed the instructions (moved cmos jumper for 15 secs. reboot, nothing. then repeated this time removing the battery for 15minutes before rebooting. Nothing. Repeated again this time waiting overnight. Nothing.)

I am at a loss. What do I do now? Is my Motherboard toast?

The system has been running good but lately was having issues not sleeping hen it should and rebooting to different OC settings than what was saved and the AStxu utility was not updating those settings properly which is why I updated the UEFI in the first place. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Welcome to WhoCrashed (HOME EDITION) v 6.65
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This program checks for drivers which have been crashing your computer. If your computer has displayed a blue (or black) screen of death, suddenly rebooted or shut down then this program might help you find the root cause of the problem and a solution.

Whenever a computer suddenly reboots without displaying any notice or blue (or black) screen of death, the first thing that is often thought about is a hardware failure. In reality, on Windows a lot of system crashes are caused by malfunctioning device drivers and kernel modules. In case of a kernel error, many computers do not show a blue or black screen unless they are configured for this. Instead these systems suddenly reboot without any notice.

This program will analyze your crash dumps with the single click of a button. It will tell you what drivers are likely to be responsible for crashing your computer. It will report a conclusion which offers suggestions on how to proceed in any situation while the analysis report will display internet links which will help you further troubleshoot any detected problems.

Crash Dump Analysis

Crash dumps are enabled on your computer. This system is not configured for complete or automatic crash dumps. For best results, configure your system to write out complete or automatic crash dumps. Select Tools->Crash Dump Configuration from the main menu to configure your system to write out complete memory dumps.

The following dump files were found but could not be read. These files may be corrupted:
C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\120619-12796-01.dmp

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Conclusion
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

5 crash dumps have been found and analyzed. Only 4 are included in this report. If dump files are found and they could not be analuzed, it means they are corrupted. Because crash dumps are an emergency measure it is not uncommon for this to happen, however often it points to a problem in the storage stack. It is suggested that you run CHKDSK on your system drive to check your drive for errors.
A third party driver has been identified to be causing system crashes on your computer. It is strongly suggested that you check for updates for these drivers on their company websites. Click on the links below to search with Google for updates for these drivers:

nvlddmkm.sys (NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver, Version 441.41 , NVIDIA Corporation)

If no updates for these drivers are available, try searching with Google on the names of these drivers in combination with the errors that have been reported for these drivers. Include the brand and model name of your computer as well in the query. This often yields interesting results from discussions on the web by users who have been experiencing similar problems.

Read the topic general suggestions for troubleshooting system crashes for more information.

Note that it's not always possible to state with certainty whether a reported driver is responsible for crashing your system or that the root cause is in another module. Nonetheless it's suggested you look for updates for the products that these drivers belong to and regularly visit Windows update or enable automatic updates for Windows. In case a piece of malfunctioning hardware is causing trouble, a search with Google on the bug check errors together with the model name and brand of your computer may help you investigate this further.

Hmm I was thinking about upgrading my cooler to a bigger Noctua but a bit lazy now to replace my older one lol. I thought the 3700x had only one cpu die and CPUs like the 3900x and 3950x have multiple cpu chiplets? That's why I used only one pea size dot of paste. I will monitor my temps and if I see it go over 85c while encoding then I will buy a new cooler, thanks all ??

Installed a Gigabyte gc-ci22m_a Intel CNVi m.2 wifi module. At first, device manager picked it up but would not update the driver. Kept failing to update (Auto, pick from list, specify location).

Flash forward to now. Installed other device drivers/general setup (new PC build) and device manager does not see the card anymore.

Gone through everything I can think of. Any advice?

Thanks!

hahahaha, absolutely understand you man.....

because I was also lazy to add 2nd radiator.... thought about it like 1.5 years..... finally did it......, without buying extra hoses, I thought the old plus leftovers was enough...... but was soooo wrong........ tried so many placement and configurations ......... install takeout install takeout........ at the end they all fit barely, bent and ugly possibly twisting may be going to burst it's way off later....... so I got to buy extra connectors to let them turn 90 degrees or 45 degrees etc, new hoses too possibly and redo them again......

Whole thing took like 12 man working hours......should have been just 2 hours I think.....

Anyway, I'm not using thermal paste, I use Graphene Sheet 0.025mm thick vertical 15~20w/m.k, horizontal 1500~1800w/m.k
