Thanks for your thoughts but both NVME drives were brand new never initialized prior to being installed in the Asrock board. I really wish I could easily remove the NVME drives and try a couple of my Samsung 960 Pro SSD's and see if they would initialize the Raid applet to start up during boot up but being water cooled this would be a ton of work and still no guarantee it would work.

Do some more searching and reading and see if I can find something.

That's fine.

I haven't had to deal with hardware trouble in so long. (My previous build dates back to 2012) If there's any test or anything I can provide results with, please let me know.

Yep 2.13A is what I'm running now. Temps are as shown below with Core Boost enabled. Clear correlation between Core Boost being enabled (to get to 4.3) and those temp oscillations. When disabled, temps are rock solid steady. I see this as AGESA bug.

Hi fellas!
I bought an ASRock Taichi X470 (not ultimate) in august. It works fine, but just after two weeks of usage, RGB Leds mounted on the mobo shutted down. All of them.
And that's weird, 'cause on my BIOS they are recognized and HW test said that everything works perfectly.

I really dunno. The mobo itself works perfectly, I love it, but it's quite annoying having this issue.
Does anyone had this problem, too? Do you know how to solve it?

BTW, i remember that RAID support is probably broken with Combo-AM4 1.0.0.3xxx

Did you flash the new bios 1.60 with AGESA Combo-AM4 1.0.0.4 Patch B from yesterday?

In the news last month from MSI:

The latest AMD Combo PI version 1.0.0.4 Patch B (SMU v46.54) is coming soon, with. The BIOS for X570 motherboards will be ready for users to download and update in the end of October. The updated BIOS version supports Ryzen 5 2400G and Ryzen 3 2200G running in X570 platform. On the other hand, it also supports RAID function including SATA- and NVMe-based drives for X570 motherboards. We are still working hard on other existing lineup of 300- and 400-series motherboard and will be released soon in November.

Guys, just using XMP profile very often is not working.
At least the DRAM voltage has to be increased a bit (1.4V max) for 3200 speed. In other cases only manual setting of timings will help (-> Greetings from Ryzen DRAM Calculator).
With Matisse, the situation is better, but still far away from "plug and play".

And it seems that some newer boards and/or bios versions increase the DRAM voltage at default, when using 3200MHz or more.

For example:
My X570 board sets 1.38..1.39V for XMP3200, if DRAM voltage is set to AUTO. And when i increase DRAM frequency, voltage will be a bit higher like 1.42V on AUTO.

Thanks, I'll be looking into this. But beyond the basic, I'm really intimidated by all the setting options I see in the bios and not sure what is safe to change and what isn't.

Googled Ryzen DRAM calculator and it and it only mentions Zen and Zen+ support?

Again: Fast startup on windows shutdown is disabled?

And just for test, disable some power saving related things in the bios:

Advanced\South Bridge Configuration
Deep sleep: Disabled

Advanced\ACPI Configuration
Suspend to RAM: Disabled

Thanks, will look into this when I have some free time. In the meanwhile, I just installed the AMD chipset drivers (never knew that was a thing) and set my pc to AMD Ryzen balanced power mode and seeing how that goes.

So far so good and back on XMP 3200 settings.

But haven't got much time yet on my pc. Will see.

Ok I finally upgraded my 2700x to a 3700x today. Results so far, are good. Updated the bios from 3.40 to 3.60 set my XMP profile to 3200mhz CL14, temps are pretty damn good to 64c max so far gaming, I mostly play Guild Wars 2 which taxes the CPU more than the GPU expecially at 1080p overall more FPS 10-15FPS gained and much faster map load times. But the Windows version I'm using is Win 10 1809 LTSC not 1903. I hate Win 10 Pro/Home and all that crap bloatware. Don't care about that CPU scheduler in 1903 for Ryzen I think it's all crap I see no comparsion between 1809 v 1903 no one does it. Im also using the latest Ryzen power plan I set the CPU min to 99% and Max to 100%, so far the PC is running good.

I may have got this AB350 Pro4 working stable now. (No BSOD...See my above posts)

So I ended up boosting the ram voltage as Ray62 recommended above. Then I applied the settings Ryzen DRAM calculator computed. So far the system is working really good and stable.

For those needing to know how to use the DRAM calculator, I followed this great Youtube post:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KOqhyVNPhaM

So, for now, seems like I am good to go. If I have any more hiccups I will follow up.

Hello everyone,

I'm having a lot of issues trying to set my new build:

Thermaltake Core V1 Mini ITX Desktop Case
Silverstone 300 W 80+ Bronze Certified SFX Power Supply
ASRock Fatal1ty B450 Gaming-ITX/ac Mini ITX AM4 Motherboard
AMD Ryzen 5 1600 3.2 GHz 6-Core Processor
G.Skill Aegis 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-2133 Memory
Kingston SSDNow V300 Series 240 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive

These are the things I've tried:

1) I have followed the manual and this forum post (http://forum.asrock.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=6694&PN=2&title=power-button-cable-location-on-motherboard) to make sure my PWR/RESET/LED panel was working correctly.

2) tried with different a different ram stick (Patriot Viper Steel 16 GB (1 x 16 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory) on both slots.

3) tried no SSD / HHD attacked.

3) tried changing the HDMI cables of my monitor.

4) Double checked with this video (https://youtu.be/N9s03mVW76s?t=22) just to make sure I installed the CPU correctly (Golden tip is towards the mother boards I/O panel same as the video @ 0:22)

I don't know what else I can do. Any advice?

Should I try resetting the CMOS? Unplugging the batter + shorting the pins?

Hi,

Anybody know anything about a fix for this problem? With the 3.50 bios version, passthrough is still not working, although I could found a video about a workaround to downgrade the bios, i don't want to take the risk to do that.

I don't see a video card mentioned - with this CPU you will need an external graphics card. The onboard video ports will not work with your CPU as it does not have an APU built in.
